I have been birding in Central Texas for over 25 years, and serve on the Texas Bird Records Committee. (The primary purpose of TBRC is to validate records of birds from the state of Texas and adjacent ocean.) I grew up in the area, and know the local hotspots and serve as a reviewer on BirdingHotspots.org I've also birded extensively in the High Island area, usually making several extended trips during spring migration. While these are my focus areas, I frequently travel all over Texas and would happily guide you in the Rio Grande Valley, Central coast, West Texas, Piney Woods or any other extended length trips.
In addition to Texas, I have experience guiding in AZ, LA, MN, ND, CO, OH, WA, OR, NM and other states in the U.S. If you'd like to bird internationally, I have experience in Costa Rica, Cuba, Ukraine, India, Canada, Peru and Ecuador. I am in-training to guide in Papua, New Guinea and Thailand.
All my Huth Avian tours are custom designed around your birding desires. We can do an intense Big Day, check off target birds, stake out excellent photography spots, enjoy a leisurely stroll around some wonderful birding hotspots, and much more. Just let me know what you are looking for, and I'll do my best to meet your needs. Locations other than those listed above are possible as well. GUIDED TRIPS ARRANGED ACCORDING TO YOUR TIME FRAME AND SPECIFIC TARGET BIRDS... CONTACT ME TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS.
I can arrange pickup from airports, and help you book hotels for your stay. I am CPR certified and also have Wilderness Medicine First Aid certification through NOLS for your safety on the trails. Please allow me to work with you on any of your birding trip needs ..... let me know your needs here.

"Jesse guided my wife and I in both Texas and Arizona. We are interested in all wildlife, including birds. Jesse is excellent at finding birds as well as other wildlife, which makes him a great guide for us.
Jesse is solidly on our short list of the best guides we've had in almost 30 years of wildlife travel. [It's surprising since most of the others are significantly older. But, since Jesse started birding so young, he has reached a very high level of expertise at a much younger age than one would normally expect.]
We look forward to traveling with Jesse again!"

"Thank you again for your terrific presentation Tuesday evening (Hays County Master Naturalists). It is amazing how many birds we have here and I know that it was a challenge to hold things down to an hour. I know that the class really enjoyed your talk; your love for and deep understanding of birds really shown through. The frequent review quizzes were great...
We congratulate you on your impending graduation and wish you much success your future endeavors."

"Wanted to let you know that my mother really did enjoy birding with you along the gulf coast and you were certainly her ‘go to’ guide when she was planning her next tour in Florida. She liked the fact that not only did you ‘know’ your birds, but that you were very knowledgeable about how they lived and had a great positive attitude & creative ways to keep birders interested and motivated."

"I can't thank you enough for your patience and consideration & helpfulness throughout our trip. Not only did I get to see many new birds but you greatly expanded my understanding as to what constitutes a jay or a chickadee... But above all, for me, you made sure I got to share it all despite my bad leg. Many, many thanks,
Fran
"Just wanted to let you know how much (we) enjoyed having you as a bird guide.. Your ability to identify birds from the merest sight or sound, or at distances we normally dismiss what's out there, was not only useful but entertaining -- the pleasure of experiencing a bird-master at work. Sometimes when birding we classify birds not identified as "little brown bird". A "lbb" just doesn't exist for you...."

"Our Attwater trip was a success. The chickens performed at their best; as did Jesse. Our group enjoyed being with "our" Jesse. His expertise showed by finding interesting birds for us to see and patiently teaching us about them. The birds were not readily available but he persevered.
Thanks for sharing him with us."

"I watched your youtube livestream at Hornsby Bend and just wanted to compliment you for the magical mystery tour that you took me on. Your commentary was delightful and informative and I did not know my ducks well at all, so thanks for that. And I praise you for juggling all that equipment and shifting gears with the cameras and computer and, well, all of it. Great job! I have been on a couple of your walks, one at Aquarena and another at that camp in Dripping Springs. I always remember the presentation you gave for the WBS on your journey to Chernobyl. I was spellbound. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, magic and passion with us.
