I have been birding for over 25 years. I grew up in the Texas Hill Country and know all the local hotspots. I also bird extensively in the High Island and Rio Grande Valley areas, usually making several extended trips during spring migration. While these are my target locations, I am also experienced in guiding trips throughout Texas, the continental U.S. and Hawaii, as well as International extended-length trips.

Texas Day Trips:
1/2 Day: $250 for 1-3 people. Add $25 for each additional person, maximum group size of 10. Contact me for larger group logistics. (additional $50 "peak season" charge for trips between March 15 and May 31)
Full Day: $350 for 1-3 people. Add $50 for each additional person, maximum group size of 10. Contact me for larger group logistics. (additional $50 "peak season" charge for trips between March 15 and May 31)
2 Days: $700 for 1-3 people. Contact me for larger multi-day group fees and logistics. You must provide lodging for the guide if out of Central Texas. (additional $50 "peak season" charge per day for trips between March 15 and May 31)
Longer trips: Contact me with specifics to discuss possibilities, I am open to extended trips.

Additional costs:
Fuel: $2.50 per 10 miles after first 150 miles each day, calculated in advance with general planned itinerary. There will be no price changes on day of trip unless there are drastic changes to the itinerary.
Lodging: Trips requiring an overnight stay will need to cover guide's lodging expenses.
Meals: All multi-day trips will include a $25/day supplement to cover guide's meal costs.
Entry fees: Each participant is responsible for their own entry fees at any locations that require them. Prepayment of expected entrance fees can be discussed before the trip to expedite entry into parks.
*Deposit/Cancellation/Changes Policy: Deposit of $100 per day booked is required 1 month before trip (or upon booking if done short notice). Cancellations may be refunded if time slot is filled by another booking, otherwise may be used as credit for any trip done within the following year. Trip changes are subject to guide availability and time until original date booked.
